I have always been an entrepreneur!
A woman after Jesus‘s heart...
I can remember as early as grade school years of thinking of great business ideas. Well, I was using my grandmothers skills of cooking! But, I was also following her lead! I would create a menu for my grandmother to cook. Then my cousins and I would go door to door and take orders. We would sell dinners and desserts in the neighborhood. It was my idea with the help of my grandmother and cousins. I was definitely an entrepreneur in the works.
My grandmother was a major entrepreneur. She was a powerful woman of God! I have never seen my grandmother begging or pleading; going without. She always had more than enough. She was a pastor of a church. She was also what one might call a peddler! I love it she loved to purchase things and set up shop and turn around and sell things. But, the one thing that made her the most successful as an entrepreneur was the simple fact that she was the biggest and greatest giver ever. Before she could even receive monies for all of her work, she was giving out what she had received. That has left the most positive impression with me.
As a pastor, she would get up an hour to two hours earlier then a normal schedule to make sure that she picked up all of the members of church who did not have a way to attend that day. She didn’t ask for any amount of money for gas or for services or her time. She also prepared dinner for the members of church and would invite them over after church services. Now, I would see the members of the church bring money, food, clothes, etc. to her for all of her giving. Not because she asked for it but because it was in their heart to give. Before they could bring it in she was giving it back in someway shape form or fashion and reaching out to many others outside of the ministry.
My grandmother had two deep freezers filled with food, cabinets overflowing with canned goods and dry goods. She would take those items and package them up and give to those who were less fortunate. This is the absolute truth, before she could even give out one box of food three or four people would be coming through the door with packages and boxes to replenish her food pantry.
This legacy lives on through my heart of giving. I cannot put into words exactly how rewarding the feeling is to me to see the blessings that are received when you give freely.
My whole mission in life is to create communities of people who have been positively impacted through my vision, which is to see a people who are uniquely impacted through my eyes of Servant Leadership practices. To execute new Innovations of ideas that will build a people that are healthy, wealth, rich, and prosperous in every area of their lives. I am an entrepreneur.
JESUS "The Entrepreneur"
Jesus of Nazareth had a good job. A solid job. He took over His father's business after his death, and He enjoyed what He did. Working with wood was satisfying to him. He seemed to have a knack for repairing things as well as fashioning new designs for chairs and tables. His customers counted on Him to build things that would last.
But there was a restlessness inside He couldn't deny. It had been growing in Him for years, in fact. As much as He enjoyed working with wood, He loved working with people more.
And one day-which was an accumulation of days, really, and nights of waking in His room, praying that God would give him guidance- he told His mother that He was going to leave. In what must have been, a dramatic moment he turned over the key to His Carpentry Shop and walked out the door.
Jesus was all about his Fathers business.
Did you know that God has given to every single individual that is living and breathing or has lived on this earth; a dream and a vision. Now it's completely and totally in our hands that's the good news.
Some of us will go ahead step out, and allow the dream to come to full manifestation. Just like Jesus we just simply step out on faith and do it; we turn around and hand in our carpentry keys. We hang them up on the wall; turn around, and walk out the door. We do not look back, ask questions, or even say a word.
There's no need to ask for anyone's permission. We simply do what God has given us the ability to do, knowing that the provision is there. The bad news is that some of us chose to hang our dreams and visions on the hook where our carpentry keys should go.
Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that you do not have a blessed life. I just feel that there is so much more in store for you.
I want to encourage you today whether it is to step out and walk as an entrepreneur, or reach for some of those goals, dreams, and visions that you have place on a shelf, or hung on a key hook. God has come that we might have life and that we have it more abundantly.
Entrepreneurs can change the way we live and work. Entrepreneurs revolutionize and improve the standards of our way of living. While creating additional wealth from their innovative entrepreneurial ventures, they create jobs; which in turn improve the conditions of our communities and brings forth a more flourishing society. It’s through business ownership.
Most people will not see, know, or understand but do not allow that to keep you from your endeavors. Just go out and be successful and show them that I’m not trying to take from you but give something to you and for you.
1. Entrepreneurs Create New Businesses
2. Entrepreneurs Add to National Income
3. Entrepreneurs Also Create Social Change
4. Community Development
Financial freedom means that you get to make life decisions without being overly stressed about the financial impact because you are prepared. You control your finances instead of being controlled by them.
Why Financial Freedom
* Are you happy with your existing lifestyle?
* Have you found a meaningful work-life balance?
* Do you enjoy your job and find purpose in the daily routine?
I have a personal testimony that ministers to our topic today. I personally know FEAR for myself. I have had a relationship with him for many, many years. The reason that I have been afraid of what lies ahead is because of all of the disappointments from my past. I have allowed the problems and challenges from afar to keep me complacent. I have found myself walking in faith to a certain degree; as if I am on egg shells. I have fallen so many times, that I have operated in fear.
I want you to know that I have divorced FEAR. I am now married to Faith. Let me tell you that I am in a better relationship now. I made a conscious decision to never allow FEAR back into my life. Yes, I must be honest that my mind sometimes falls back onto memories of the past. The past is the past and it cannot have a hold on me anymore, unless it is helping me to move forward in a positive way. I have taken my mistakes and downfalls and allowed them to work for the better in my life. I have chosen to walk in FAITH, which means allow God to be God in my life.
I hope and pray for you today and forever more that you make a decision to get a divorcement and get into a right relationship with FAITH. It will take you to great places that you have never thought possible. Just get up each and every day and saturate yourself in the positive power of, “I chose to live free and victorious,” and then you will.
If what's ahead scares you and what behind hurts you, then look to God; for He never fails you.
My dad has dark skin, and my mother is very very fair skinned. Voila, my skin color is right in the middle of both of them. My golden skin complexion is admired, but has always caused me challenges. My skin is so very easy to bruise.
Every since adolescence, I have battled blemishes. Yes, it is one of my great desires; flawless glowing skin. I’ve tried it all. Skin care that is. I have done my do diligence and know that it starts from the inside out. I’m now on that journey of eating clean. I also know that a great skin care line would benefit me well.
Ecco Bella is a company that has been an answer to a prayer. I’ve only used it for about a month thus far, but I’m getting great results. Ecco Bella, a naturally organic skin care company. So, they are already ranking with me. You see, I’m all about watching what I put in my body and on my body. “We are what we eat”, and a reflection of what we do in all areas of our lives. I’m not perfect, but I am progressively, and positively reaching.
I encourage you to watch what you eat, put in your body and on your body. Become more conscious of your environment and how you can make a positive impact.
Yes, I have that golden brown skin. I love my complexion, but...
I don’t know it may seem so minor to most, but to me it’s a sign of unhealthiness. So, for me the greater is to be healthy from the inside out. My greatest desire is to live a lifestyle of health and wellness. My great wealth is my health. So when I achieve flawless skin I feel that I’m living a healthier life. Not vanity, but clean eating, spiritual health, mental, physically, socially, emotionally, relationally, and financially. I want to be whole and complete. That is the way God would have it.
Pressing through a crowd of naysayers, critics, and non supportive spectators. Deep in the well; the bottom of my soul. I have pushed my way to a place of comfort and security. A place where I can truly be who I am destined to be. I have found my victory in the "I'll show up and take care of you as I promised and bring you back home. I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for." Jeremiah 29:11 Msg
For the many years of test, trials, and tribulations, I have always known that there was a better day; a greater plan filled with purpose. From the day that I hit the ground running, a still small voice of words fueled with power packed courage, high self esteem, and confidence carried me through. I can now stand in the boldness, yet meekness of, "Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day." Psalms 139:13-16 Msg
You see, up until this very day; I have fought the good fight of Tenacious Faith. I have overcome the deception of lies and controlling powers of tongues, that told me. You are not suppose to walk, or at least not without a deformity. You are all scared up and have been bruised from the inside out. What confidence do you think that you have? People are going to think that you are arrogant and self centered. Oh yea, remember the ones that said. You are so skinny, you think your pretty, and you think that you are better than us; you do not even look like us. What language are you speaking, you do not talk like we do? The list of lies is as long as the eyes cannot see. From here to the other side of the world. But, the words of the great Author and Finisher of my faith. His list extends far beyond this world of forever to the everlasting. His list proclaims me victorious. A women of high self esteem and confidence not arrogance in Jesus Christ. You are created to do great things. I declare that you walk bold and assured in The Promises of God. I have made you wonderful, amazing, beautiful, and very special to me. I want more for you than you can even imagine.
“There was once a judge in some city who never gave God a thought and cared nothing for people. A widow in that city kept after him: ‘My rights are being violated. Protect me!’ "He never gave her the time of day. But after this went on and on he said to himself, ‘I care nothing what God thinks, even less what people think. But because this widow won’t quit badgering me, I’d better do something and see that she gets justice—otherwise I’m going to end up beaten black-and-blue by her pounding.’”
Then the Master said, “Do you hear what that judge, corrupt as he is, is saying? So what makes you think God won’t step in and work justice for his chosen people, who continue to cry out for help? Won’t he stick up for them? I assure you, he will. He will not drag his feet. But how much of that kind of persistent faith will the Son of Man find on the earth when he returns?””
I am not a widow, but have faced obstacles after obstacles that have placed me in situations very similar to this one. Just like the widow, I have stood the test of times and the trying of my faith; with Tenacious Faith I knew that God would never drag His feet. I knew that I am one of his chosen and God would always step in on my behalf. He's faithful and true and His word will never return unto him void.
From one pocket to another pocket I have allowed others to tell me how I should look, walk, talk, or think. Today is a new day. I'm proud of who I am. I like how I walk, talk, and think! I confidently know who I am. I choose to "I'm Going To Just Do Me"
Getting to a point in life when you learn to just be who you are is where You have found me today. "Im in a really good place!". A fulfilled life isn't living life according to others standards. Allowing others to tell you what potential they see; a potential that they are comfortable seeing you achieve. This is the place where you have found me Tenaciously standing firm and confident in the person who God so desires for me to be. Every conformity, limitation, road block, or stipulation that I have dealt with will no longer keep me from my ultimate destination.
Why, do you think that people sometimes will only support and encourage you in the things that they are comfortable with? Go as far as to tell you that they feel that God wants you to only do just this one thing; not all of those other great and wonderful achievements. They ask you, How dare you dream so big? Could it be because they have big dreams, goals, and visions; they are afraid to dream or achieve them any longer. The thing that they can promote and encourage you in, is the one thing that will make them feel okay with the personal choices they have made in life. What about the people who said I know you were supposed to help fuel the vision that dwells within me, and it could very well be. Yes, it's possible that A Big vision is accomplished through a vision within a vision. But, I do not feel that one person has control over another's purpose in life to the point of telling them when, how, and the capacity. You see what happens in life, that we all can agree upon, is that we each have found ourselves caught up in the selfish desires of me, me, me, me, I. Think about this, the ones that know they are to do so much more greater and better in life, but have chosen to take a backseat to everyone else who stepped up; fulfilling dreams that may be similar to theirs, or dreams they were to play a roll in. So how dare you go ahead; be bold and tenacious and do what I know I should be doing, is probably what they are thinking. This is probably the number one reason for the lack of full support. Then there's that deep feeling they have, that says to themselves. I should be supporting you and helping to fuel the vision within you, but where is my glory when will I have my day. They take a step back and either choose to not support you and or focus selfishly on themselves and push towards their own dream; failing to see that you each could do far over and above what your natural eyes can see. If and only if you do it together. I'm so there, but I have come to a place in life where, I'm going to "Just Do Me". I'm going to fulfill what I'm suppose to do with or without the support. I've allowed my goals, dream, and visions to sit on the back burner because of others. Do not get me wrong, it is great to have support. In all actuality my purpose cannot be done without having others in my life. I have simply made a very bold and positive decision that I'm going to take a step and when you decide to join me, I'll humbly receive your support and willingly return the favor.
We each have to come to a place where we realize that what is yours is yours and what is mine is mine. There also is a saying that goes as such, we all need each other to fulfill each others dreams goals and visions. There is not one absolute phenomenal thing that has happened here on earth, Without it being fueled by each of us connected together. Whether you are actively connected with a hands on support or indirectly connected from afar. We are fueling each other's visions as we speak. You are encouraging me, and I am encouraging you.
Well, my ultimate goal and vision through this book is to help set you on a path of TENACIOUS FAITH. God has given you a Dream; a vision. He is going to see it completely fulfilled. That's the good new. The bad news it cannot happen without you. "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.", say The Lord God, Almighty.
Let me introduce myself to you. Hi, my name is Tenacious. I'm am so tenaciously stubborn that I refuse to see greatness without seeing to it that you receive greatness; fueled through being a blessing to you. Are you ready to be blessed. Hang On! Here we go!
Master your Fears or your Fears will Master you!
Fear is a good thing to feel. It sets us up for the adventure and it also prepares us to be cautious. The problem isn’t the fear, the problem is us and our reaction to the feeling of fear. When we are afraid to step out of our comfort zone, to follow our dreams, to confront bullies or to stand in our power, we don’t fight the fear, instead ,we flee or we hide. We don’t use it to excite us, stimulate us, or to move us forward in life. We let fear control our lives and paralyze us. When we are reacting to fear in this way we are choosing to make decisions that are not serving us well. As John Lennon said in his quote, if we are controlled by fear we pull back from life – mediocrity and complacency become acceptable in our lives. The key to overcoming our fears is to learn to love ourselves more – even with our imperfections.
“You can conquer almost any fear if you will only make up your mind to do so. For remember, fear doesn’t exist anywhere except in the mind.”
- Dale Carnegie
Long legs and arms; the tallest in my fifth grade class. I prayed, God please stop growing me to be so tall. I do not want to be a model. That’s all I heard it seemed growing up. You are so tall and look like a model.
I always felt like an ugly duckling. I was very tall with long limbs. My body frame was very skinny. I was told that my back side was flat as a wall. Yes, I was very insecure. Not, to mention I had scares carved deeply on the sides of my legs and hips. Very visible to me. No one seemed to notice them. I didn’t know that then. I realize it was only I Being hard on myself.
Did God answer my prayers. I guess I may never know. I do know this. He wants me to be proud of who He has created me to be, scares and all. He may have answered my prayers. I believe that because I now wish I had not complained about my tall slim body. I now appreciate my long limbs. Yes, and maybe being a model wound have been absolutely, okay. Well my legs and arms are long, but I stopped growing. I’m not as tall as they or I feared I would be.
There are seasons in our lives and I have now reached a unique yet familiar one. I’m not a model and will never be, but in some ways the path that I’m on could easily lead me that way. There’s a greater assignment than just being a model. This modeling position looks a slight bit different. I have a message to share with women everywhere through this blog.
Tenaciously Me is a blog that uses its post, and photos to engage uplift and inspire Women everywhere with the message that Simple Can Be beautiful. Through fashion, lifestyle, health and wellness; simple and basic is where it all begins. I allow people into my world, now age 53, to share my personal healthy lifestyle practices in hopes that it would encourage them to create there personal healthy lifestyle and love themselves for who they are; becoming!
Now, come to think of it. We all are models. What are you modeling today. What impression and impact are you making. Who are you and what do people see when you model around each and everyday. I hope you are modeling a role that is positive, encouraging, uplifting, and packed with good morals and values. That’s my prayer for you!
Wow, that felt good. I’m happy with who I am; becoming. That what I want for you too.
I was so very excited and could not wait to get to the optometrist! The whole adventure was full of fun. You know they know exactly what to do for a young child who might be afraid of going to the doctor. I don’t think that I had any fear. I felt like a big girl. I was only the first grade. I remember it all as if it were yesterday. So vividly so that I remember coming home with my new glasses. There was the trying on and getting fitted. Then of course they took me through the vision portion to see if I could read through them. Lastly, believe it or not, they made sure I could see how to walk in them. Things looked a great deal different. Oh boy, we are ready to head home. It was raining that day. I mean really raining. I know this for sure because when we arrived home. I had my glasses in their case sitting neatly in my lap. Yes, as soon as I got out of the car my first pair of glasses went into the water drain and were washed away to the river. Never to be seen again. I cried so very hard. Can we not just head to the river and meet them there. No, Tammy, it’s not possible. Yes, we had to replace them. I loved my first pair of glasses but they became on a souvenir that I got from the optometrist. Why you ask! Well, peer pressure. It wasn’t very easy to walk with confidence once I arrived to school. Did I ever wear them. Yes I wire them at home. The doctor’s prescription was to wear them while reading, or watching television. As the years passed, I renewed my prescription randomly. I can see well enough without glasses, but I’m sure that things would look a great deal brighter if I wore glasses. Now, 53, I’m ready to wear my glasses on a regular bases. I want to protect my vision and add greater health to them. I’m on a mission to live a long, healthy, and prosperous life. There may be a greater reason now, for wanting to get my eye wear prescription filled. Glasses are fashion now. Well at least for me. I have found a place that gives me a greater desire to wear glasses, Warby Parker. Their glasses are so cute! I can now wear glasses in a fashionable way. Makes over coming that peer pressure that scarred me as a child easier now! This shouldn’t be the greater reasons or wearing glasses, but it sure helps. My eye health weighs greater importance. People who wear glasses are “Simply Beautiful” Fearfully and Wonderfully Made.
I want to encourage each of you whose eyes are blessed to read this; maintain your eye health. Please, make sure you eat your way to greater eye health and whole body health. Give your eyes a rest from computers, televisions, and cell phones. Wear your sunglasses when you are outdoors and get to your optometrist yearly.
I hope this cute little story will help you to over come whatever you are challenged with today. I love you!

I am a laid back, easy going person. I love to laugh and have a great time. I find good in every situation; love to encourage others in this way as well. I've never meet a stranger. I enjoy being out and about sharing the love of Christ. I live a life of prayer of thanksgiving for great things for all. I love spending time with my family; this is where you can find me mostly. In order to be a greater part of my life, others have to genuinely receive the whole package. I love to give so that others might be blessed. I am happy and confident in whom Christ has created me to be; to which I have not always been this way. I am thankful that God has trusted to me with His heart. I am honored and blessed to be a positive impact in your life.
